Welcome to Lodge #2 of the Vermont chapter of the National Fraternal Order of Police. The FOP was born on May 14, 1915 when 23 officers met for the first time in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Presently, there are over 2,100 local and state lodges, with under 400,000 members nationwide. This lodge was started in Chittenden County, on July 22, 2014, and exists to serve all law enforcement professionals throughout the state. Our membership consists of full-time and part-time active federal, state, and local LEOs, and also welcomes retirees. Our Board consists of volunteers, all of whom currently serve as active Level III and Level II officers in various agencies throughout the state. We are part of the Vermont State FOP Lodge, which was started on January 2, 2025. Their website is www.vtfop.org and their telephone number is (802) 231-1060.
